Eleni K - 6 Weeks

It's unbelievable how fast the human body changes in so little time. These shots were taken right around the 6 week mark. The changes are breathtaking to say the least. This is really my first time around a child this young and I have to admit that it's pretty amazing to document the changes.

Don't forget to check back often as I kick off the 2008 season!

Frank and Jessica

Here’s a snippet of one of my many 2007 videography clients. Frank and Jessica had a gorgeous day that started at Jessica’s home in South Park. The ceremony was held at St Bernard in Mt Lebanon and the reception wrapped things up at the Holiday Inn Meadow Lands.

I picked this clip because it was the very first clip that I emailed to Frank and Jessica. I hope it has the same effect on you as it did them. I went with a very steady wide angle shot for most of the shoot. I wanted to use geometry to create unique compositions that hold your interest instead of constant camera movement that can draw you away from the action.

Rob, Jolaine, and Maynard Kennan

Rob, Jolaine, and Maynard Kennan

Rob and Jolaine were quite an experience. During my initial consult with Jolaine I found out that Rob was a major Tool fan. Being a MEGA Maynard Keenan/Tool fan myself I decided that I would whip up something special for my man Rob. I added this video to a Special Features section of their DVD. It was a bonus video that pushes the boundaries of what just can be done to a wedding video.

Every shot is from their actual wedding! Open your mind and let the shapes draw themselves out for you. If you know Tool and their music you’ll understand the look I was searching for. I wanted a very organic feel that was both unsettling and just plain cool to watch.

Eleni K

Eleni K

So I opened my doors to on location portrait photography along with an experimental yet intriguing new package that will be introduced shortly. This adorable newborn is Eleni, and her wonderful parents were actually my very first signing back in May of 2004. Four years later we’re still close, they still love their video, and I was honored to go on this shoot.

Over the next 12 months I’ll be photographing Eleni every four weeks! The finished product will be a wonderful framed print of her first 12 months of life.

This is Eleni and her parents at 2 weeks…

A Brand New Year

A new year and a giant hurdle…

WOW it’s hard to believe that I’ve been in this business since 2004.
Starting in video and slowly introducing still photography was a challenge to say the least. 2007 marked the first true testament that I was on to something big. Being skilled with both still and video cameras has given me an edge that others in the business don’t have. It’s an artistic advantage that I truly respect and adore and is one that is extremely difficult to pull off.

2007 brought in a nice mix of both still photography and videography work my way. Since this is the first time I’m “blogging” I would like to share with you some of my favorite still photos that I shot during the 2007 season. Every client I had was a blast to work with. We had fun, and for a family to invest their trust into me and my crew to document a very sacred event is truly a wonderful experience.

2008 holds a lot of promise as I begin to build the infrastructure of the company. I’ll be adding portrait work including seniors, families and babies. A new ad will be seen in Cavanaugh’s 2008 Wedding Planner, and coupons for select packages will be available throughout 2008.

Stay tuned… Oddly unique and tear inducing videos from 2007 will soon follow.
